PECC's First Annual Giving Campaign is Underway!

Dear Colleague and Friend:
"I love the little children, I feel them in my heart,
There's more that can be done for them, I want to do my part.
Increase my knowledge; perhaps go to college to seek a better way
And on my path to do this right, pursue my CDA.
Learn more of child development, not just the golden rule,
To do more for the children, and so (I) went to school.
The struggle will be worth it, the hours hard and long,
But I'll nurture the young children and help make a family strong."

Janice Fullard was inspired to write this poem to celebrate  completion of her Child Development Associate credential in a course offered by  the Philadelphia Early Childhood Collaborative. For more than ten years PECC  has made a difference in the lives of children and those that care for them. As  we strive to support neighborhood organizing efforts and programs that ensure  quality learning environments for young children, PECC provides training and  support services to promote high quality early education programs in  Philadelphia.

Our services include:

  • Professional Development
  • Family Day Care Home Start-Up
  • Early Learning Centers for young children and families
  • Health & Safety Education
  • Community Education

PECC relies on the generosity of contributors to help us  accomplish our mission in the communities we serve. Our donors, whom we think  of as catalysts, support our programs and help assure the basic services that  support our partners: The Preschool Project, West Philadelphia Child Care  Network, and Northwest Interfaith Movement. The late Rosa Parks, mother of the  Civil Rights Movement, once made this statement to the 250,000 child advocates  who gathered in Washington, D.C. for the first Stand for Children Day, "If I  could sit down for justice, you can stand up for children." Your financial  contribution will help us continue organizing and supporting early childhood  professionals who teach young children and work with their families. Standing up for children,
Beth Joseph
